I am looking forward to moving closer to fremantle, as that's where I grew up. In Hilton actually. Isn't it nice to remember those childhood things, at least the sweet things.....that smell you spoke of, boy was that a good thing to lose. The buildings down there are like ghost habitations....the power station, the abatoirs etc...it will all end up being developed one of these years. I love that part of the world, you wouldnt recognise it, coogee is now a big housing area, with lots of "mansions".....perhaps you will get to see it one day. Anyway.....must go get brekkie...as we walk down memory lane, let's enjoy it.

When we migrated to Perth in the early 50's, my Dads first job was a the kwinana oil refinery, he worked there for some years, not sure how many, I have an old photo of him there. So that's amazing to read that your Dad was an engineer there. Thanks for sharing that, it helps in my curiousity regarding this journey in life and the people that are a part of it...some I am aware of others I am not. Anyway, I love Perth. I arrived back here 5 years ago, after spending 7 years in USA. Was a great adventure.
