This Is What I’ve Learned
MIND – BODY – SPIRIT
Unbeknown to many, there is a rhythm to this great earth and how it functions. In my experience, some people get it, some people don’t.
This rhythm I am speaking about many know it has karma, you know, do unto others has you will have done unto you. This is one of those cardinal rules where what you do unto another, I’ve heard it been said, will come back tenfold. I’m not sure if it’s only me, but I tend to associate karma with negativity, such as when someone does something unwarranted, I always think, ‘don’t worry, karma will get them.’
Actually in Hindu philosophy, this is known as a law of cause and effect in which every time we do or think something, we actually create a cause. Therefore each person is responsible for his or her acts in that each person’s karma is of their own making; it’s up to each of us to shape our own future by schooling our present.
Which now brings me to dharma.
Living a life of good dharma naturally equates to good karma. Dharma, simply put, means that as individuals we do what is right; what is right for the individual, the family, and the universe. According to Hindu belief, anything that helps human beings arrive at god is dharma. The practice of dharma provides an experience of peace, joy, and strength within one’s self.
This is how I prefer to live my life!
Until next month – Much Love!
Get Fit – Fit Tip
BMI, also known as Body Mass Index, is a statistical measurement that compares an individual’s weight and height. Though please keep in mind that BMI is merely a tool used to estimate a healthy body weight dependant on the height of a person. BMI does not actually measure the percentage of one’s body fat (there are other means by which to do this such as skinfold measuring or underwater weighing).
If one’s BMI is 25 – 29.9 = Overweight
A BMI of 30 or greater = Obese
Also keep in mind BMI-for-age means that BMI is used differently for children ages two to twenty.
