conscious wellbeing for ourselves & our world
It seems the older I get the more I appreciate the extraordinary in the ordinary. Not that I didn't appreciate it before. But there is something deeper and simpler happening with my day-to-day joys. I think it is also in accordance with the earth changes and shifts, and returning to all things simpler and appreciated.…Continue

Well we had snow again this weekend. Though it wasn't quite as bad as today's photo, I did see the local deer family on my little walk yesterday evening. So beautiful.
I did also manage to catch a little throat infection... so I am making this week an official "Comfort Week" and here are some practices to set my week in motion.…Continue
In my journey of accepting and embracing my whole self, I was thrilled to come across this passage today from deepak. Yes, I am a sinner and a saint. Yes, I have my shadow and my light. Yes. Yes. and Yes.
“We are surrounded by the Word of God. It permeates us like the air we breathe. It challenges us to walk with discerning hearts in the company of God.”

Comfort Food for the Soul: The Unmade Bed
On Saturday I made the bed up fresh. New sheets. Fresh from the dryer and sooo wonderful. In fact, all of the bedding was fresh and delightful.
By Sunday it was cloudy and gray. Waking up in those fresh sheets on a cloudy day felt irresistable.
I sometimes make it a practice not to make the bed. If for no other reason than to break my habit…
I can't remember the last time it rained because it is still winter here in Colorado. But this article came today from DailyOm and it reminded me of the peacefulness of a rainy spring day.
I've decided to use it as a meditation this morning - to visualize the wonderful and cleansing properties of the rain.
You can take 15-30 mins today to visualize rain pouring in and around you, through every cell of your body, as a cleansing ritual…Continue

I have to admit, I am a little excited over the theme of finding love this year, because I recently (though unwitthingly) played cupid for 2 dear people in my life.
I recently introduced one of my best friends, an acupunturist looking to make a healing video, to an old collegue of mine, a video/filmmaker with whom I had worked many times. Well not only did they hit if off regarding her project... they are now dating!
I learned Metta in the fall of 2004 and this pracitce changed my life.

The cosmic formula of creation is gloriously simple:
Attention + Intention = Manifestation
Clearing Your Mind
Allowing Spirit in
Set aside time each day to unclutter and settle your mind. Whether through yoga, dance, walking or journaling.
After a full day out in the world, stories, words, images, and songs from any number of sources continue to play in our heads hours after we encounter them. Even as we lie in bed, in the quiet dark, our minds continue noisily processing all the input…

We all have a soul family as well as our family of birth or origin on Earth. Our Soul Family, or Tribe, consists of those souls who we travel with through numerous lifetimes and who hail from our cosmic "home base." In the here and now, they accept and embrace us just as we are.…Continue

It's amazing that this article came across my desk today. As I continue to work with the principal (and birthright) of my own autonomy, I am reminded that healthy parents raise children to become healthy adults - free and whole in and of themselves, despite the difficulty of letting them go at the appropriate…Continue
