*Silence*

When I look for silence,

I find silence

Inside my soul.

When I look for my soul,

I find my soul

Inside my silence.

Silence, silence, silence.

Silence awakens the sleeping seeker in me.

Silence enlightens the aspiring seeker in me.

Silence fulfils the self-giving seeker in me.

Silence, silence,…

A Humanist Code Of Ethics

A Humanist Code of Ethics:

Do no harm to the earth, she is your mother.

Being is more important than having.

Never promote yourself at another's expense.

Hold life sacred; treat it with reverence.

Allow each person the dignity of his or her labor.

Open your home to the wayfarer.

Be ready to receive your deepest dreams;

sometimes they are the…

Echoes of Power - Sacred Vows

When we make a promise, a subtle yet powerful shift takes place in our souls where intentions are housed.

Speech is a vehicle for vows, but the sacred vows we speak are more than just…

Aid For The Soul

Seeing from a different angle.....

It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others. Sydney J Harris

It can be so very easy to make snap judgments about others when first meeting them, can’t it. I certainly don’t mean this in a critical way – more an observation (even though our first snap… Continue

From "A Course In Miracles"

our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.…

Bliss - A Hindu Poem & A Prayer For The Gulf

Bliss

‘...Bliss is not something to be got.

On the other hand you are always Bliss.

This desire for Bliss is born of the sense of incompleteness.

To whom is this sense of incompleteness?

Enquire. In deep sleep you were blissful.

Now you are not so.

What has interposed between that Bliss and this non-bliss?

It is the ego.

Seek…

About A Poem - "I Chop Some Parsley"

About a Poem:

Garth Stein on Billy Collins’s “I Chop Some Parsley....”

[THE POEM:]

I CHOP SOME PARSLEY WHILE LISTENING TO ART BLAKEY'S VERSION OF "THREE BLIND MICE"

And I start wondering how they came to be blind.

If it was congenital, they could be brothers and…

Grand Cross Lunar Eclipse June 26

I'm no resident astrologer, but I found this very interesting. There will be an eclipse of the full moon on Saturday, with 7 planets in grand cross formation. Especially in light of the fact that there are 2 global prayer vigils happening for the Gulf on Saturday simultaneously, and on the same day as this rare and powerful astrological event. Some interesting reflections on our emotionality at…

A Girl and a Dolphin - my own dolphin "tale"

I love this video. It reminds me of my first encounter with a wild dolphin. And of the great love for dolphins we have around the world. Here is a bit about my personal dolphin story and connection with these super conscious, loving beings.

I have swum with wild ocean dolphins four times, free in the ocean, not in captivity. The first was in '95 when I had an intimate one-on-one conversation and sonar session with a large atlantic bottlenose.

We… Continue

Is God/The Universe Sending A Message? (True Account)

The G8 and G20 Summits are being held in Toronto (and Huntsville) starting today. World leaders are arriving here as I type this. Mr. Obama is among the group arriving. I cannot help but ask myself WHY Toronto (and areas in Northern Ontario/Huntsville/Quebec) experienced an earthquake yesterday in the late afternoon. Coincidence? Sure, could be. But I think not! We RARELY have earthquakes! The timing is perhaps a wake-up call for all of humankind.

I've…
