Things are not as bad today, the pain killers worked wonders. Though I am not to keen being on them. I didn't take last nights one and woke early this morning with just the slightest twinge.
Thanks Alexa for your words.
The doc says I have slight athritis (? spelling) and a bit of muscle soreness and disc damage but nothing major and nothing to worry about just something I am going to have to watch - no heavy lifting and twisting at the same time. Lets hope on monday the… Continue

I have been in so much pain the past few days. Something is wrong with my upper back, the docs don't know what is causing it, its not a typical back pain and its not in an area where they can say its a disc problem. It started as a dull ache occassionally just after my by-pass surgery, 20 months later it has developed overnight into a pain thats feels like red hot pokers beeing pushed through my back, it feels like something snapped. Had x-rays and blood tests this morning so hopefully the doc… Continue

There is a wide-spread increase in the number of people using the (lemon/cayenne/maplesyrup) master cleanse these days as a long term fast. However, a person can also use it effectively in connection with other healthy, whole foods cleanses.
I have begun a 4-week cleanse and here's how I am doing it. I am a thin person. I do not believe that Master Cleanse alone is good for naturally thin people. What you can do if you do not want to lose weight while cleansing is to use the master… Continue

If you're really honest, [put your name here], you have to admit that things today, in your most amazing life, at this most amazing time in history, are far better than they've ever, ever been.

Bowing is a universal gesture of respect and reverence. In many cultures, it is the predominant form of social greeting, and most religions incorporate it into their rituals of worship. In many cases, bowing signifies not only respect but also an acknowledgment of the shared divinity between the bower and the recipient. Bowing can also be a turning in toward our own divinity when we bow our heads in prayer, contemplation, or meditation. Bows range in… Continue

Special Messengers : Reconnecting with Friends
Every person that passes through our lives makes a contribution to our life stories. There are those who play large roles and make deep impressions, but sometimes a brief special appearance before life takes them in another direction creates a meaningful connection. It is a rare gift when they suddenly reappear in our lives after a long absence.
Though the world may seem full of more… Continue

Well, things are going well on many levels today. However, I really need to get a handle on my on-again/off-again smoking addiction. My thyroid climbed up on me again causing an extra load of wirey-anxiety and that "one day of smoking to help me with this extra edginess" has escalated into a couple of weeks already and I am feeling it.
I always say, well, I only smoke all-natural cigs and probably "only" four a day. But c'mon. I am working on a heavy metal cleanse and I don't like… Continue

I hate being like this. Though it is happening less and less and I know how to deal with it, it really p's me off.
I nearly went off the road this morning, the tears came from nowhere as I was driving into town.
Everything is toppling in on me. I just want to pack it all in - the new business, the house, etc etc.
I can't even remember if I took my tablets this morning. So many people want a piece of me, I have to go here, I have to do that, someone needs something, my head… Continue

Well thats what it feels like. After a visit to the doc for the results of my cholestrol test I am not as revved up about life as I was. My cholestrol has gone up significantly enough for the doc to put me back on to the higher dose Lipitor and she told me that my blood sugars are sky high, with all the family history and the itching skin and aching legs and the need to go pee every five minutes the chances are quite high that I have diabetes. It would explain a lot of things though, things… Continue

Is it really the 17th May already. I feel like I have been fast forwarded at warp speed.
Okay where do I begin. Was offered the chance to clean next doors holiday home after guests and prepare it for other guests. Not regular work but they've recommended me to others and theres the chance of more jobs out at the Lake. It'll pay for my bad habit. It was tiring at first, but I can work my own hours when I want.
Took the plunge and went in with my friend in her new business.… Continue

Accountability in Recovery, and American Idol
You've got to have accountability to have recovery. This goes for economic recovery, or anything else. (Who is holding the banks responsible for the loans?) This should have been a strong contractual agreement in the current national recovery plan. With consequences.
In our own recovery, accountability can also be seen as taking 100% responsibility. We are accountable for our own patterns and feelings, our woundings and their… Continue

Look around you. There is magic in the tiniest of things. So much beauty. So much grace.
When the world fails to make sense, remember that Divinity is everywhere too. Angels leave their footprints in many places, large and small, to remind us that we are
still Connected. And that everything is going to be alright.
- may you find love, beauty and magic in the tiniest things… Continue

As children we forget to see the color of ones skin race and sexual orientation. As a child all you care about is how good a friend that person is. When some children become adults we start seeing the differences as who the person is. We forget what a child eyes see. The person inside and the type of energy that person carries with them. Maybe if we kept the eyes of a child like God wants us to be, we would have a different world. Skin Color, Sexual Orientation, Race and age would not matter as… Continue

Mercury went retrograde today and will stay retro thru the end of the month. (It will go "direct" again on May 31st). With Mercury in retrograde, this is a notably good time for rest, going within, healing and caring for things of the past. (Do you have a room that needs painting?, something that broke that needs fixing now? an inner issue to address? these are good mercury retro activities.)
Mercury retro is not
a good time to sign any written contracts (don't

Gifts We Give Ourselves: Friends
Good friends enrich our lives in so many ways. Through a magical combination of similarities and differences, friends offer us the opportunity to know ourselves as we are and help us grow into who we want to be. Our similarities attract us to each other, comforting us with familiarity when we see ourselves in them. When we are drawn to those… Continue

This Is What I’ve Learned
MIND – BODY – SPIRIT
Unbeknown to many, there is a rhythm to this great earth and how it functions. In my experience, some people get it, some people don’t.
This rhythm I am speaking about many know it has karma, you know, do unto others has you will have done unto you. This is one of those cardinal rules where what you do unto another, I’ve heard it been said, will come back tenfold. I’m not sure if… Continue

Have you heard about the movement called ‘Freegan’?
Freeganism is a complete boycott of today’s economic system. Freegan is compounded from the words ‘free’ and ‘vegan’, where vegans are individuals who avoid consuming animal products.
Part of this boycott movement is that freegans shun purchasing products from one ‘bad’ company to support another ‘bad’ company. So as freegans… Continue

I watch the news bring every little update about the Swine Flu and everyone making sudden adjustments from what they hear. Suddenly people are afraid to extend a hug or a warming handshake. But what is more dangerous media hype or the common ordinary flu that people are fearing to be the swine flu? In many cases, it won't be the flu that brings fear to the city. What will it more likely be is a bad case of the common cold. Fear will be the deadly virus, not some weird mutated virus from a pig.… Continue

The Things We Take for Granted; The Wonderment of Life
Most of us begin our days with a continuous list of things we need to do to keep our lives running smoothly, but we rarely take time to note all the things we don’t need to do. For example, we don’t need to figure out how to breathe. We don’t need to find a way to make sure the earth… Continue
