Hi, Dean, Thanks for the comment. Quantum just means discrete, or singular. In our scientific endeavers to understand the material realm we have found ourselves in, we have been trying to find the smallest "particle", or "element", that matter is composed of. At one time, we thought atoms were the smallest "quanta" of matter. However, in particle physics, things just keep getting smaller and smaller, with no seeming end. At some point, we find just energy. Thus, the Quantum Field is just the energy field the universe is emerging from. However, in Quantum Theory, this field is flexible, responding to our behavior. I am exploring the role our emotions play in "flexing" this field, shaping our experience as we go through our lives.
I can just as easily use the term "the universe" in my discussions, with the implication that the universe reacts to our thoughts, actions, but especially our emotions. An example of this would be if you give love, you are more likely to get love back.
But, as one who is attempting to heal myself of mental illness, I have explored the role implicit emotions play in our perception of ourselves, inhibiting personal growth and development. And how we view ourselves is a major player in the shaping of our lives.
And, I am trying to understand just where we are in the evolution of our emotional consciousness. Everybody is jumping up and down about (cognitive) consciousness these days; but nobody seems to be discussing emotions as "dimensions" of conscious experience, as it were. That is what I would like to discuss. Art
