Are we stuck with karma? Perhaps we are, perhaps not. If virtuous living is its own reward and if evil is a creation of the human condition, i.e. experiences of our own choosing, then what is the need for a system of balances obviously constructed...

AMERICA NEEDS A CANDIDATE WITH THIS PLATFORM!!

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN THE YEAR 2012..
HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1). Any use of the phrase: 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned.. English is the official language; speak it or wait outside of our borders until you can.

(2). We will immediately go into a two year isolationist attitude in order to straighten out the greedy big business posture in this country. America will allow NO imports, and we'll do… Continue

The Only begotten?

“The joy we knew, as we tarried there, none other has ever known”. These words from the old song reveal the unbelievable joy, peace and love of one who knows, one who has been there, done that, an enlightened soul. It is altogether understandable that such a one may feel they are uniquely blessed for it is beyond the human mind to imagine the ineffable joy and the peace that passeth understanding. Thus, the assertion “none other has ever known”. The light that transforms is not instilled by word… Continue

Our Health

Our health, our sense of physical well-being, is the sum of all that we are on this plane. The mental, physical and spiritual aspects of this marvelous vehicle that we have been given are indivisible and should be reassembled after study, debate and profit sharing.
The failure to address the whole is the perennial Achilles heel in this process and yet the area most amenable to change. Arrogance, ego, turf battles, cynicism and such have not been accepted as viable healing tools. The arduous task… Continue

Proselytizing

To ascribe a name to God
Is to limit your awareness of God.

Be charitable to proselytizers, they are well-meaning foot solders in the battle against evil. Unfortunately, the collateral damage in this war is immense. Those who are on the path of awakening and enlightenment need not participate. Early on, the true seeker has discovered that the great work is self-realization and the preferred way to fight evil if we must, is with good.Do not judge the actions or beliefs of another but rather if y… Continue

Some years back, My grandaughter and I were playing in the dirt in my flower garden ( without her mothers permission of course. It is a grampas' responsibility to do such things) and while pulling some weeds from around an iris, she ask " will you make me an iris the color of my dress"… Continue

Hey Dean!
Hope your having a great weekend...I'm enjoying perusing your Gnostic writings, I discovered these a few years ago, really opened my eyes to organized religions!

Dean,

If I live long enough, perhaps. It did not afflict my dad but my 88 year old mom has ARMD and glaucoma. I'm guessing she's been using prescription eye drops for the past 10 years but can still read large print with glasses. Cannot see from her house to the highway 300 ft. away.

Thank You Dean,

For your friend invitation. Developed cataracts, diagnosed September 2000. Had to quit driving February '01. Hoped to heal the eyes and tried over 3 or four years without success. My dad celebrated his 90th birthday but was in failing health, last October. Knew my mom would need help and wanted dad to know I could provide it when he was gone. I had surgery on one eye 16 December '08. Dad died twelve days later, knowing I could see with one eye.

Had second surgery mid Jan '09. Had repeat surgery on first eye to correct a problem from the first surgery, late March and went back on line (off line from Feb ' 07) about that time. So I'm just getting my feet wet in social networking. Tested my lesser eye today, reading standard print w/o reading glasses and can do it, though not as easily as with both or best eye only. I have no complaint because it is better than last time I saw the doc who did not expect any further improvement. I did and do. Haven't even started eye exercises yet. But I will soon. Intend to stay free of macular degeneration and glaucoma.

I am excited by social networking and have been investing a lot of time and effort and love it when a comment thread turns into a conversation or conference. It is providing me a somewhat random education - scatter shot. On the other hand, I'm learning a lot about my preferences. :)

Blessings X 10,

Ed
