Awakened Recovery & Wellness

1. The more you use it the more it works – A few people have said to me that the LOA doesn’t work for them, but when asked what are they doing, they will comment “I have tried the visualization thing’ a few times but it didn’t work. Now I ask you, if you were learning a musical instrument, would you expect to be perfect at it after a few goes?

How long would you play the lottery before expecting to win? a couple of goes?
First of all you have to buy a ticket before you can win it. Secondly you have to buy a ticket every week to increase your chances, however slim, of winning anything. So it is with LOA: You have to practice it everyday to gain anything from it. Unlike the lottery you always win, whether it be attracting all your goals, decreasing your stress levels through visualization, increasing you mental abilities through visualization, meeting new people along the path to your goals, you always win.

2. Juice your intentions up with emotion – I have discovered that if I simply state an intention and visualize it and forget about it, it doesn’t come to me. If I visualize it and give it real emotions and do this everyday my goals will happen. Giving your intentions emotions are giving them energy, when you create the energy you have momentum, when you have momentum you create a power, when you have the power you are listened to, when you are listened to you will achieve your goals. This is perhaps the biggest single barrier to not achieving your desires. You have to give your desires and visualizations energy and to create the energy put some emotion into it.

3. Give out more than you take – I believe that LOA is about balance in all it’s forms. If you achieve your financial goals give some back to charity or the community or offer your services free. If you achieve your goal of finding your perfect partner show gratitude by treating your partner and their family the right way. If you achieve your goal of passing your university exams make sure you use the degree wisely.

4.Show gratitude – The reason you are here today, reading this article, is that you believed you would wake up today safe and well. A lot of people don’t have that luxury. We all get mixed up in our own worlds, and we all take our world for granted. Why not take five minutes a day to show we are grateful for the world we have.

There is some discussion in regards to this one.
Some people say it works for them and others say that they need the vibration support of others.

5. Only tell people about your success when it has been completed – This is a strange phenomenon some have noticed with the LOA.
For example someone had a goal and was doing great until he started telling people about it.
He wrote a post on it, told some friends and family and almost overnight the it stopped. And this has happened a few times. He claims to have had a thought about this and has come up with a reason for this:

[quote] "When you have an intention you work toward it and keep working until it is achieved. When you are in the middle of working toward it and you tell people about its current success your mind has decided you have reached your goal and therefore the energy of the intention disappears.
So, if you have a goal of getting $5000, don’t tell anybody about it until you have the $5000. Don’t tell them you are nearly there with $3000."

So, its up to you really

Someone recently pointed out that the "attitude of gratitude" is what most people who try LOA forget. Possibly true.

Interesting thought re: not talking about ones intentions. I can't quite figure out how this fits together with "act as if... " though. Can you?

Nevertheless, anything that seems to work is fine with me. I'm still a rookie with no successes to show :(

Interesting, I too had a few thoughts on this one, which is why I added it in its own post.
I totally agree with you on the gratitude comment. At one stage I even created a gratitude site for those who claimed to be practicing the Law of Attraction, but after awhile they started dwindling off and most saying they didn’t have the time.
I believe that gratitude is the paramount component to manifesting and creating the reality you desire.
Thank you for your comment 09ismine

Oops, have to go and look for that!

I have to admit: Gratitude is a tough one, especially if one is going through a difficult time. First few days were extremely hard and I, too, let it slide. Must be a human thing. ;)

So thanks for the reminder. I remember when I started the last time, I found more and more things to be thankful for. If only those bummers that came along didn't crush my spirit. I "pray" for more strength with my new attempt. That vision board is dusty! *rolleyes.
