Hey Friends,

I am more aural than visual, prefer music and quiet to movies and paintings. But I love the graphics you post here. Eye candy with mood. :) I was just reflecting on Sarah's Michelangelo arms. Finger tips either coming together or separating. Surely the artist knew in his day, the drift was separation. We have begun to reverse the drift. :)

Love and Blessings X 10,

Ed

Hello Everyone:

For Alexa, here's one of the Laws - The Law Of Karma (Or The Law Of Cause And Effect).

Much love to all in our amazing Group,
Marianne (in awe)

Thanks for making this such a delightful group everyone. Your enthusiasm for spiritual teachings is very heart-warming. I'm basking in the positivity here. Loving the quotes too :-)

I love Rumi too and loved your quote Alexa. I've only been aware of his work for about 5 years and this is the one that speaks to me;

There is a field.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a feild.

I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in the grass the world is too full to talk about.

Ahhhh bliss

My favorite Rumi -
(btw, we had a friend read Rumi at our wedding. It was lovely. Tx for the memory!)
Ok, here's my fav...

"Come, come wherever you are!

Wanderer.

Worshipper.

Lover of Learning.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve broken your vows a thousand times.

Still, yet come, come again.”

Good morning, friends. Well with my husband's job-changing situation I am certainly having much to practice with in terms of what I am being taught in Pema's book of wisdom. I was also reading some posts here, and remembering the Seven Spiritual Laws. Funny, the only one I could remember off-hand (it's been ten years since I last read the book) was the Law of least resistance, which Ed has mentioned here. (I see it's rather 'least effort.') Can anyone tell me just one of the other Laws? Don't think about it, just give me a random tid-bit to chew on for today. I have lots to practice with Pema!

Stay warm and cozy all, and have a beautiful day. Happy page-turning!

An Inspiration for our dear Group:

"To change, you must face the dragon of your appetites with another dragon: the life-energy of the soul." - Rumi

Have a delightful day, my enlightened friends.

Marianne and Sarah,

You consistently make it worth my return visits. Thank you. It is part of Deepak's brilliance to write a small book to be read in bite sized chunks for busy people and the re read several times. It is a different approach but so appropriate to times and TV attention spans. :) Sarah, the great thing about wisdom is we can pick it up like rocks from the ground when we don't especially need any more than we have. But the moment we do need it, it is there in our pocket. :) Your thirst for knowledge excites me because we are resonating long distance, no? In the Bible, important things are often repeated because that is how stiff necks learn. (pig headed) We learn our ABCs by repetition. We learn arithmetic by repetition. I once was a church goer. We repeated many prayers I can nearly recall today. We repeated many songs as well. Thankfully, the minister did not repeat his sermons often enough to notice. Repeated commercials or signs make us buy without a second thought (I hear). So too for any spiritual practice. I can recite boy scout oaths, laws, motto and slogan. Why not the 7 Laws? They certainly mean more to me than much from my past. We memorize scripture in some instances. Always nice to have when they support one's point of view as many false churches can attest.

Marianne - Past Synchronicity. May 1996. The first year anniversary of a failed marriage and I had fully recovered due to reading the right stuff. Paid over $100 for the info that had ended the depression 4 months earlier. It was worth many times the price. It gave me back to me. I am working for a local building site and, water and septic contractor. He's living in town all week and 100 miles away half his week ends. His travel trailer at the distance floods during the week. He brings me a water damaged copy of the 7 Laws. Pages are stained but not stuck together. I read the book and see it is the most valuable book I have ever owned. Bible told me what and why. 7 Laws taught me how. That year I read it to friends who needed to live it but settled for hearing it once. :) I so deeply appreciate your gratitude because every day in every way we both know that gratitude will only grow and there are now several of us to guarantee it. Gratitude always = rapid growth. And are we not all exceedingly grateul for Deepak hisself?

Love and Blessings Without Limit,

Ed

I just dug out my Deepak book (Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success). I shall begin each day reading ONE Law!! It's funny, the book was safely tucked away under The I Ching.

Took a look inside the flap of the book. I had written "Marianne, May 3, 1996". Now I recall - I bought TWO copies. One copy was for my mother because my dad had passed away in December of 1995 and my mom (and I) were having a difficult time. Deepak came to our rescue at that time.

I'm so very grateful that you lovely people encouraged me to revisit this miraculous book.

Marianne (grateful)
