Awakened Recovery & Wellness

body.mind.spirit

We all know theoretically what having a healthful lifestyle means. Let's actually beging to build a new one for ourselves today!

They say that if you practice something new for 30 days it will begin to build a new neuropathway that can bring lasting change. We all "know" that things like regular excercies, a yoga or meditation routine, and eliminating sugar or junk-food type snacks, would be better for us than our current routine. So let's take a step to implement those kind of changes into our daily life and lifestyle.

What are you willing to do for the next 30 days that will serve your having a more healthful lifestyle? If a daily change for 30 days seems difficult or overwhelming, could you do something weekly for 30 days? Could you do your best with committing to 10 mins of meditation twice a week? Or are you ready for something bigger, like practicing three relaxing yoga poses every night before bed to enhance your sleep? You decide. The power is always with you to choose what feels good for you.

Think about it, and set your start date for next Monday. State it here as a powerful intention, and let the group energy support you. You can even check in with us along the way, expressing any feelings of frustration, reminding yourself that it's ok to not be perfect (that is practicing self-love), or celebrating all your baby steps.

This practice will help to remove the blocks that have been keeping us from our health goals perhaps for years. Be gentle with yourself. And have fun with it.

When you have completed your 30 days, be sure to come back...and CELEBRATE your victory!

I am going to commit to going for a short walk in the sunshine for at least 3 days a week for the next 30 days.
Even if I am having a hard day, I will at least walk to the corner and back. I love being outdoors in the fall sun and breathing in the beauty of the changing colors. I am going to soak it in! LL

I'm on my 3rd week, and I've been committed to this, and you know what? I feel great. Every time I go for that wonderful little walk I also get a kick of accomplishment and moving ahead. Simple. But I really feel good about it.

i keep trying to allow time to take up meditation but aimlessly fail each time so perhaps i need to try again and commit myself to trying it for a 30 day spell.

Hi Bridget! I am so glad you joined this thread. I find that when I acknowledge my intention out loud, it gives me that much more power and I see it through!

I am committing to myself today to follow through with some healing appointments I need to make. I am committing that for the next 30 days I am going to make some appointments! I want to get a colon cleanse, make a dental appointment, and make contact with some other people that may be able to give me acupuncture and/or cleansing support to help me on my next steps to detox and cleanse my body.

Blessings to you also! Let me know how it goes, ok? hugs, too.

Boy, I am really resistant to making these appointments. I have got to step it up here. hmmm.... I'm gonna do this! I will report back. (even if it's just to myself!)

Well I am back to CELEBRATE my victory! I moved through my resistance to docs and such, and made some appointments! I had a stellar cardio exam, with a wonderfu doc I may add (they're not all bad!!) And I'm scheduled to check in with my primary, (even though I don't care for her, it's good to check in and then I don't have to for another long doc-vacation.) And, I have had an incredible energy session with my energy healer (she is amazing) and will be starting some detox/colon-cleansing tomorrow with another amazing Light who I am grateful to have met. So I am in GOOD shape!

And, I moved through my resistance, moved some stagnant energy, and made my goal. I'm proud of myself. Still a little resistant to having to do all this, but, I'm doing it anyway. And that feels gooood.

I love goal setting out loud like this. Keeps me accountable. To myself.

Love, Light and Blessings.
