Does anyone know or has tried Natural Progesterone cream from the Health Food Store (brands avail at Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage, etc.) Are they safe? I know my progesterone is low, and I get terrible breast pain 2 weeks every month, also edgy and pms, and am thinking of trying a dab of an over-the-counter natural cream.

Anyone else working on this stuff?

Anything regarding women and hormones...you can ask and talk about it here.

If you have tried Nat'l Progesterone Cream, please let me know!

I have terrible hormonal problems. Doctors I see tell me they are normal, but I KNOW they are NOT! I don't know WHAT to do about them. My periods are all over the place. I'm having a period right now and had another one 11 days ago. Excessive hair growth, ALL over! I have a beard (not a full one, of course), but it's terrible! I'm only 35. Does anyone have any input they can share regarding their experiences or knowledge with any of this? THANKs! I appreciate it so much. :)

I just know that what you go through is more important than what a doctor says, it tells more of your health and where things are at. Listen to you. Not the doctors. You have to keep looking for a good doctor. They are hard to find. good luck for things to get turned around. It will happen.

You know, I wanted to add cuz I was just thinking, even when Oprah went through her thyroid/hormone problem, even she said she had to go through 7 or more docs to find one who knew what the heck was going on. Even Oprah goes through this! I read this all the time. Jenny McCarthy went through the same w/her son's autism diagnosis. So girls, we are not alone in this either!

We have to stay informed and empowered, and always trust our gut, intuition, experience and knowing. Always.

I used the progesterone cream years ago. I found it really worked. It was pulled off of shelves by the HPB (health patrol board) here in Canada a few years ago. I can't remember why. Since then I have been taking a Herb & Vitamin supplement. It seems to help, not as good as the cream did...I'm hoping after studies they will bring it back.

oh, Sarah. tx for letting me know you've tried it. Did they also discontinue "natural" progest. cream? that's interesting. in the states, there is a strong movement away from synthentic creams. the way to go now is only, and only, bio-identicle natural creams, usually made here only in compounding pharamacies. But I picked up some natural "yam" or something, cream, that I may also try in the meantime. I am having such sensitivity right now. but as it clears, I am really looking forward to trying some cream myself! I'm just certain I could use some progest. during the 2nd phase of my cycle! Thanks so much! and I hope you'll get yours back as well.
xoxo
