(guess it's not classic TV, but kind of it is, no?)

I always liked Batman. I'm talking the Adam West, 1966 Batman. Not the subsequent ones in the movies. I think everything else pales by comparison. Now that I think about it, the things that appealed to me were his cool mask, the Batcave and the Batmobile. Now however I try to live without wearing a mask, I don't have to hide in a hole in the ground and I don't have to run away either figuratively or literally in a cool car. I still think it's a cool show though.

Well, I wasn't betting on either one per say, I didn't "see" a real connection, except maybe with the canadian girl. And I surely didn't see that one coming!! Gosh, he could have broke up with Melissa before the cameras were on, eh?

Oh, well, I do wish him well with Molly now. Don't know about this. I think the real connection didn't happen and he was trying too hard. Maybe the pressure of the TV-coverage and all. What did you think?!!!!

I'm really trying to second guess Jason's final pick this evening, too, Alexa. Who are you betting on?

I like your narratives about why you like those shows.

OK. I'm a Bachelor fan. Yes, yes, I am! It takes me away from it all for those 2-hours. And I must confess, for me, they really fly by!

Welcome to Classic TV. To get things started I'll list my favorite TV shows and a brief why they make me happy or help me relive a happy memory.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Dukes Of Hazzard - Friday nights as a kid and playing with my Dukes cars, action figures and pretending to be Bo n Luke with my best friend PJ in the early 80's. That probably explains why I Founded the Official Fan Club, LOL

Family Ties - I was always able to relate to Michael J. Fox somehow, maybe its because I'm short and cocky. I also enjoyed the cast as a whole, the writing and the comical humor; frequently stating: "I would say/do that". But for me it was Alex P. Keaton (his character). Their family was similar to mine. I was the eldest, I was cocky and I loved money (in those days) However, I am NOT a republican, but seen myself as an over achiever. I had two younger sisters, a mom and a dad. I never got the little brother I wanted. But my parents divorced in 1985. That never happened in the show. As a kid, I sort of compared myself to a few TV characters. LOL

ALF - Mainly the concept and the fact that I LOVE anything having to do with UFOs, Aliens and Paranormal, add some cocky sarcastic 80s humor, and I'm in heaven. I collected all the toys, comics and episodes. But as far as a memory goes, it has to be watching the show on Monday nights with my uncle and grandmother after dinner. I lived there while my parents were getting divorced, my sisters lived else where.

M*A*S*H* - As a kid I spent a lot of time with relatives. My uncle and my grandmother always watched the show. I didn't understand the humor (being a kid at the time), but I enjoyed the opening credits. When the final episode aired in Feb of 1983, I was about 8, I watched it that night, my mom was in the hospital giving birth to my youngest sister, I recall, I cried when it ended. Again, not 100% understanding the story or the reason it ended, but I cried, just like millions of other viewers/fans.

Knight Rider - A cool sports car that talks, nuff said! - The remake version (that’s currently on) is way cool as well, the car does more and the story lines are way more realistic.

Most sitcoms (50s-today) - If its funny, someone I like is in it, its out of the ordinary, has a retro theme or if its something I can relate to, I'm watching it.

Well, That’s it for now, those are my top favorite TV shows. I usually find some sort of happiness via TV. Like I said, it almost always brings back a childhood memory, a time in my life, or just plain fun.

If something on TV makes you feel good about yourself, indulge in it, but don’t become a nerd about it, LOL That isn't healthy either. Though I run the fan club, I'm not obsessed about it. Its just a fun way to share memories, swap stories and merchandise and even make some new friends Like on here.
